Santorini holidays

Who is Santorini suitable for?
Destination Santorini is a truly unique and alluring location and the ideal destination for a romantic getaway in the stunning Mediterranean sunshine. The volcanic eruption that rocked the island in 1450 BC was one of the biggest in history and it led to the highly distinctive formation of the island - a 16km crescent of multi colour cliffs soaring to heights of 300 metres and looking out over the 'Caldera' a bay of beautiful blue waters where the islands of Thirassia, Nea Kameni and Palea Kameni are located. These islands can be explored on a boat cruise from the mainland of Santorini.

Santorini boasts some charming little villages of traditional Cycladic architecture of white washed buildings and blue domed churches. Here, you'll enjoy majestic sunsets over glasses of the island's excellent wines. There are some beautiful sandy beaches - generally quite dark due to the land's volcanic make up - and there are great opportunities for water sports. Santorini has a fantastic indigenous nightlife, which starts with delicious Mezze cuisine and usually ends with live Greek music and a good dance! This is not a holiday you're likely to forget in a hurry!
