"Holiday at Mareblue Beach, Corfu"
Janet Elliott stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
Had a fabulous week at this resort.
All inclusive menu was comprehensive and good.
Particularly liked the 'Relax Pool' where there were no children, music or games. This was very peaceful.
Good range of evening entertainment both for adults and children.
Children's activities daily at the main pool area.
The resort is a little off the beaten track but they run a shuttle service to places of interest and into Corfu town.
Would highly recommend it!
Top Tip:The resort is a long way from the airport. Make sure you get the best transfer deal. Contact your rep at the resort who will be able to arrange a good deal for you rather than the hotel reception.
"Would recommend this hotel"
Ann Parker stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
Set in the beautiful northern part of Corfu, the Mareblue was very well set out. The quiet pool at the top meant that people could laze on their sunbeds and enjoy the peace and quiet, while the children and more active holidaymakers could use the large fun pool at the bottom of the site.
The food was excellent, the updated rooms were very comfortable, with good showers.
The site was not used by youngsters looking to get drunk on the free alcohol and make a nuisance of themselves. It was quiet by midnight.
A cannot fault this hotel and will be recommending it to my friends.
"Very good value holiday in beautiful area"
Laurence Butcher stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
Staff very helpful.
Animation team very good and excellent standard of evening entertainment.
Food was very good.
Rep Jason was funny and very helpful.
Could do with some new towels.
Very good value for money.
Top Tip:No close town or village of any significance
"Great Value - Great holiday"
Antony Cowles stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
This was our chance (my wife & I), to enjoy a little peace and quiet and some spring sunshine.
We could not have asked for anything better (well, almost). The hotel staff were friendly, attentive and went out of their way to make sure everything was "Just So".
The hotel itself was clean and tidy, and what amenities they did provide, were as you would expect. There were a couple of negative points and these were both with regard to additional expense, as detailed below:
1. Although a safe deposit box is provided, you have to pay an extra 20 Euro (non refundable) to use it.
2. Whilst the hotel does have WiFi in the main reception and bar area, again, it's at a cost of 5 Euro per day to access.
The food was OK, if a little repetitive and as with most holiday package resorts, cooked in such large quantities, it was almost always only luke warm by the time to got to eat it.
The entertainment provided by the hotel at no extra cost was first class and something we looked forward to each evening.
The 2 excursions we took were absolutely brilliant and both were exceptional value for money.
All in all, a very enjoyable week's holiday, and highly recommended.
Top Tip:Both the outdoor swimming pools are fantastic, but be aware, they are freezing cold all year round.
"Wonderful hotel, location, food, staff"
Helena Schofield stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
We had a wonderful week at the beginning of May in the Mareblue Beach Hotel.
The location was stunning, with wonderful landscaped gardens, pools and the bonus was two lovely beaches at the bottom of the garden, with fantastic views.
It really was paradise, you can't put a price on the location and views.
The staff were all very hard working and friendly, the food was excellent, the hotel was spotless, what more can I say?
Top Tip:Don't have lower floor rooms if possible.

We had a week at Mareblue resort and had a nice relaxing break.Food was good but could do with a larger choice. Apartment was clean and serviced each day. Excellent swimming pools one for adults only for peace and quite. Entertainment each night near beach not much to do near by, need a car if you want to see the island.
Overall we had a very nice break not many children at this time of year and weather was just right.
June Davy stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
We had a marvellous time at Mareblue. The food was so delicious every day. The staff, waiters and animation team were excellent. My only criticism would be that we were not informed that we had to pay for chairs and sunshade on the beach as we were under the impression that Mareblue Beach resort had its own beach with free facilities and paying 8 euros a day soon mounts up.
Jemma Oatley stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
Had an amazing holiday, was an excellent great choice! Looking to book again.
Staff was amazing very helpful and friendly, the two holiday reps where brilliant deserve a bonus got everybody evolved and made the holiday. Great games on throughout the day.
Stunning view, we got amazing pictures. Jason the organiser great personality any trips you want wait and go to him.
Defiantly recommend nothing bad to say about this hotel.
"Good value for money but not perfect."
Ivan Bagnall stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
A nice hotel with excellent swimming pools. Rooms could be more comfortable but OK for the price we paid. Food was typical "all inclusive" buffet style, not good but not bad either - selection of dishes was reasonable but many lacked flavour. Salad bar good but no variation all week..
The location at the most northerly tip of Corfu was good but the worst thing was a long bus ride to go anywhere.
Top Tip:Visit the Pyramid restaurant next door (not part of hotel) for really good food.

Top Tip:Excellent food. Lots of very fat people!
Susan Parrington stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
Great hotel. Food people staff fab. The beds are so comfy and the pillows also. Never stayed in a hotel with beds and pillows this comfy. The hotel surrounding's are beautiful and the view is too die for. Couldn't fault it 😀
Kathrine Davies stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
Hotel is extremely well run with food served throughout the day, meals, pool side snacks, afternoon tea etc. I'm vegetarian which can be a problem regarding choice but I found plenty of variety. The area is unspoilt & has some lovely bays right by the hotel & the sea is great to swim in, warm & clear. We met some really nice couples staying in the hotel but some of the guests were loud & pushy so wouldn't want to visit Corfu later in the season when it gets busier. There are plenty of trips from the hotel & there are 2 hotel pools 1 is a chill pool where jumping in is not allowed nor are children which is an excellent idea. Will definitely go again.
Penelope Bowering stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
Beautiful hotel. Two lovely clean, huge pools.
Helpful kind staff, could not do enough for you.
Lovely clean rooms, plenty hot water.
Varied and very good quality food.
Very good value for money.
Lovely quiet location, yet handy for the 3 nearby Tavernas and supermarkets.
Top Tip:Eat well and take water before you get on the transfer bus as it can take nearly 1.5 to 2hrs to complete the transfer.
"A great escape"
Mark Wilson stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in May 2015
A wonderful hotel in an ideal location. On site facilities are very good with a wide choice in the main restaurant and an opportunity to take lunch and afternoon tea at the family pool complex.
There is an adult only pool which is a very relaxing part of the complex.
This is an all inclusive complex and there are no cards or identity wrist bands. Just good friendly service.
Any extras are reasonably priced.
Off site there are a number of walks along the coast and to the botanical reserve.
Look out for David Bellamy who lives in the area.
Rooms are of a good size with good bathroom facilities. The fridge in the room is an added bonus.
Rooms are well maintained with effective air conditioning.
The minimarket on site is well stocked and reasonably priced even for souvenirs.
Close at hand if venturing off site are a number of tavernas offering local cuisine.
Top Tip:Take the shuttle bus to Kassiopi a lovely place and book trips via their agent. Much cheaper than through tour reps at hotel.
Book the a la carte restaurant on site as early as you can.
"Mareblue Beach Resort Agios Spyridon"
Elaine Black stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in April 2015
We had a fantastic time at the Mareblue Beach resort. The hotel was a high standard. The food was fantastic. We've been to all inclusives before and found that the food becomes boring after the first few days. That never happened - we were spoiled for choice. The staff were lovely and very helpful.
Only complaint could be that it was fairly remote, but that suited us, because there were loads of lovely walks nearby.
Great value holiday - best value for money that we've ever had. We were looked after from the moment that we arrived at the airport until the moment we were dropped off from our transfers.
We would highly recommend this holiday.
Top Tip:Don't worry about finding your transfers at Corfu airport - or return transfers - cos you are immediately looked after and well informed for transfers home.
William Baker stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in April 2015
Staying at this resort was a great experience. As a pensioner looking for a nice quiet relaxing hotel with as few children as possible spring and autumn breaks are the norm and we both thought that the week spent at Mareblue was perfect. The rooms were clean, comfortable and well proportioned. The service was generally very good although we thought the 3 euros per hour or 12 euros per day for wifi was a little extortionate as we are more used to free wifi in public areas at least. The food was of a high standard and the a'la carte excellent.
"Good value for money."
Christine Scholes stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in April 2015
We could not fault the hotel, its facilities, the staff. It was the beginning of the season so not too much was happening in the close vicinity of the hotel e.g. tavernas. There were trips organised by the hotel to Corfu Town, Kassiopi and Acharavi. The holiday rep offered trips to Paleokastritsa and the island of Paphos. Further trips were offered from a company in Kassiopi including a boat trip to Corfu Town, with transport from the hotel included.
We enjoyed the A la Carte meal which was offered once a week during your stay. The food in the restaurant was plentiful and there was variety, with some themed evenings e.g Greek night and Italian night.
We thought that the room that had been allocated us was too small for three adults,(only one small wardrobe). We asked for a room change on arrival and we were asked to sleep in that room for the night as we had arrived near to midnight, and we were given a much larger room the following day.
There is an all adult pool close to the main part of the hotel and a larger pool close to the beach for children and activities. That pool is served by a bar and lunch time food.
There was music in the evenings, and some dancing. The highlight being a Greek night with Greek music and dancers with audience participation, plus the smashing of plates!
Top Tip:There are two supermarkets close to the hotel.
"Great Value Holiday"
Richard Cobb stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in April 2015
This was probably the best value for money holiday we have ever had. As always when you pay a very low price for a holiday as the departure date looms you become a bit apprehensive about what you are going to get.
Do not worry this was superb from start to finish, the hotel and grounds are in excellent order the staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was always plentiful and very tasty (chips available) most meals if you want them.
Several people we talked to whilst there were wondering how the hotel could offer the holiday at this price albeit low season.
The location of the hotel is quite remote which is great if you want to relax but you need to take a bus to the nearest towns approx 15 mins or Corfu town 1 hour.
All in all I would find it hard to say anything bad about the holiday we had, the only small gripe would be the cost of wifi which these days should be free, there is a small cafe about 100 yards down the hill which will give you their password if you buy a coffee.
The only other thing I can say is we will surely be going back.
Top Tip:Best for older people and a low key relaxing holiday.
"Great for a Spring Break"
Colin Farr stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in April 2015
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The location was a bit isolated and as the time of year was such that many businesses were not yet open for the season it left little or no option in the evenings as to where to go. Fortunately the food in the hotel was great and the service and friendliness of the staff was second to none.
My wife and I enjoyed the peace and quiet and the views across to Albania were stunning.
We'd certainly consider a return trip but this time we'd probably hire a car and get around a bit more. As it was we went on two trips. One to Corfu Town and the other to Paleokstritsa. Both trips excellent and great value.
Our tour rep Jason was first class. He was relaxed and informative and a real laugh at times too. Top Man!
All in all it was great for the spring break we'd promised ourselves.

Excellent food - one of the best we have stayed in.
Top Tip:Take some walking shoes - the local walks are excellent.
"11 nights on Corfu."
Deborah Lee stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in October 2014
Lovely resort. Some guests thought it too secluded. There are bus services locally and from the hotel to other parts of the Island.
Food was fine. However, all inclusive alcoholic drinks had little if any alcoholic content. We bought wine and lager from local supermarkets. Entertainment staff were very good and I particularly enjoyed the Greek Nights where plates were smashed and a band played rather than backing tapes.
Would go back again as long as had a good deal on price.
Top Tip:There is an exceptional Greek family run restaurant to the right at coastal entrance to resort.

Brilliant place, holiday was great and relaxing.

Extremely friendly staff, food was fantastic. Had a very enjoyable week. Will go again.
Top Tip:Good family hotel.
Sarah White stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in October 2014
Very spacious and clean apartment, food plentiful and good especially the desserts, staff very helpful and pleasant. The two swimming pools looked very good although I prefer to walk to the sea and other more secluded places to explore and relax.
I appeared to be the only lone traveller at the Mareblue which was a bit disconcerting but not unbearable and did not feel uncomfortable walking alone to beaches or inland. An absolutely beautiful area, wonderful coast with view of Albania and the Greek mainland. Blessed with sunny weather most of the time but was told they had four days rain the week before.
Top Tip:Make sure you take insect repellent, I noticed several people covered with bites but managed to avoid mosquitoes most of the time.
"You can,t go wrong!!!!"
Sue Purvis stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in October 2014
Yes we did get bit by Mosquitoes but you can stop them at night by putting your air conditioning down low / they don’t like the cold!! We also got bitten on our many walks outside the complex but sprays and wipes help to ease the discomfort.
We aren't pool swimmers or sun bathing lovers but if that’s your scene this place is perfect plus a few drinks when you want and evening entertainment by the pool each night - you have to be there to enjoy it and the many friends we made whilst we stayed there / oh, what fun and relaxation !! And the varied self service food was good / staff were all very friendly and there to help at all times.
We went on two trips - to Albania (very enjoyable, enlightening but the people are in the main very poor) and boating down to Corfu town for shopping via the east coast of the Island. On previous holidays abroad you were promised sights of Dolphins but saw none / we saw 3 going down the coast and 13 coming back - what more can I say!!
The coach trips to and from the airport are long and tedious but you do get to see the island along the narrow winding roads which at times you don’t think the coach can go down / the drivers are real experts at driving you around.
All in all, it was great, so much so that we’re planning going back at the end of May for my husband’s 70th birthday hope we can book a table for the a la carte menu on that night.
"Great autumn getaway."
Christine Foston stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in October 2014
The Mareblue Beach Resort is set on its own in the north of Corfu, close to several small beaches and with wonderful local mountain views and Albania which is only a short boat ride away. The staff are all very helpful and friendly and the animation team put on lots of entertainment, especially on several rainy days that we had whilst there. The rooms are basic but comfortable and all have a balcony. They are all set in blocks around the extensive lovely gardens. There is something for everyone including two large pools, one for adults only. The food is wonderful and very varied with themed nights.
All in all a great place to spend a holiday.
Top Tip:If you prefer a sea view, request a room in one of the blocks nearer to the family pool. If. However you wish for a quieter area you are better off nearer the relaxing pool.
"Relaxing week at the Mareblue Beach Resort"
Penelope Rutterford stayed at the Mareblue Beach Resort hotel in October 2014
The hotel is very remote, it is great if you are happy to sunbathe and read. The food choices were varied. The wine, beer and soft drinks were freely available in the dining room, as self service. The bar service was a little erratic, the all inclusive ended at 11pm, although the bar remained open until 1am.
The relaxing pool area was peaceful and the sunbeds were plentiful. The pool was freezing! The liverier pool catered for those who wanted games and entertainment.
The gym was very disappointing, a basement room, and not much equipment.
Overall we had a relaxing week and were well fed and watered. It represented good value for money.
Top Tip:At this time of the year the mosquitos were on the attack, although we had a variety of repellents none of them were totally effective.
We arrived at 2am, the transfer took nearly 2 hours, and therefore we were not able to get anything to eat or drink..
Get in early if you wish to use your a la carte option as it gets booked quickly.
