Hotel Reviews

"Great for everyone."

Our family has just returned from yet another visit to Titanic Beach & Aqua Park and we have already booked for our return visit in May 2014. We are a group of grandparents, our children and our grandchildren.

There is something here for all of us. There are massive pools and large sun bathing areas, an Aqua Park, the beach for ball games with a beach bar, not forgetting the sea with all the water sports.

The staff are the friendliest we have ever met, from Ahmed and Amir on reception to the Resident Manager, Yousry Ali, who walks around the hotel and greets his visitors with much enthusiasm and it is obvious that he has much pride in his hotel.

We would recommend this hotel to everyone. It is spotlessly clean and you won?t find better hospitality anywhere else in Hurghada.

Our family can?t wait to come back.

We arrived after a 4 hour trip over the Sahara Desert from the MS Serenade Nile Cruise for a weeks stay. All we could say after entering the reception was wow!!!! It was a 5 star hotel, all inclusive, we were signed in and sent immediately to the restaurant for food and refreshments. After being given our room no. 1313 we were taken by porter to our room which far exceeded our expectations, being a large room with sofa and large ensuite. We did not need to upgrade.

There were several pools, so plenty of swimming space for all, outside towels were provided. The staff were very friendly and always cleaning and tidying up, they never stopped. The only down side was we did not enjoy the food very much, it was not to our our taste but we did not let it spoil the holiday. The wines and beers were all fine. Overall we had an excellent time there and would recommend to family and friends.
We did not see the fitness room as were too busy doing other things!!!!!!!

I was at the 'sister' hotel, the Primasol, in November, and after a terrible spring decided I needed some sunshine. This looked to fit the bill. The Titanic Group has, as far as I know, three hotel complexes. Two of them (Palace and Beach) are joined together, and share a beach. They have the usual dire all-inclusive menu, but also a number of 'a la carte' specialist restaurants, and your stay entitles you to one meal in a week in one of them. I chose the Lebanese, which was adequate, but nothing to cross the road for. The Mexican had some dishes in the buffet one day. No. No ta.

The room had two 'small double' beds, which did me, and a truly ferocious air conditioning system.Pretty soulless, but it is a large complex, and you get what you pay for. The staff are the thing here. Friendly, enthusiastic, approachable; I had a number of conversations with them, and of course it always came back to the usual subject: Ignorant Russian Bas.... Vodka for breakfast. Alcohol all day. Greed and ignorance. One example, of a huge list I could write, will suffice. A mother with little boy had a bucket so that said child could pee at the end of the pier, where there are no facilities. All fine and good so far, but tipping the bucket out into the swimming area was not.

There is a large aqua park, including an odd uphill water ride, but it is difficult to get a go on anything because the IRBs hog all the inflatable rings necessary for a slide. They also have a habit of moving their sun loungers so as to surround the top of the steps in and out of the pool, thuis making them inaccessible to other swimmers. Did I say one example only? I lied.

The pool is a long and sinuous (and clean) stretch of water between the wings of the hotel, with the water park and its rides at the seaward end. There is an artificial wave pool for the less energetic, and then the beach. The usual sun loungers, mattresses and towel booth, together with bar for lunch, are there. The lunch is the usual choice of sausage inna bun or burger ditto, but the chips tend to come slowly, and are usually intercepted in huge piles by IRBs. The chip queue can thus get a little long.

The beach faces onto a very shallow tidal lagoon, the floor of which is covered in coral detritus. Wear shoes. To the right of this is a sinuous pier which takes you out to where the reef ends and the fun begins. Two flights of steps, often hogged by IRBs, take you down into the water. Sit on one of the bottom steps, fix your mask and fins, and let the waves take you into a rather nice reef absolutely heaving with all sorts of fish. If you ignore the lifeguard and swim past the yellow floats, the reef goes on for a long way, and there is a lot of variety, everything from stingrays to lion fish.

The walk along the pier can be avoided, as there is a free shuttle in the form of a Chevrolet mini-people-carrier. Be prepared to have IRBs push in front of you, of course, but it is still a handy service. On the way out, you will see ospreys (with juvenile IRBs stoning them), white-eyed gulls and western reef herons (stoned as well).

Inside, the place is clean, and well-air-conditioned, but you need to pick your spot to avoid the cancerous fumes of the IRBs and Germans. I found mine, in the Pirates' Bar, with a friendly waiter called Abdul, and by nine each evening I was escaping to my room.

Summary? Poor food, odious clientele, wonderful staff and CLEAN.

We went to the Titanic Beach for 9 days in May as part of a all inclusive deal followed by a Nile cruise.
I have to say we arrived at the hotel with some trepidation after some of the comments on this site.
My experience of the hotel is a very clean & friendly place. There have been some negative comments about the food & drink but both were fine if not what we would think of as 5 *
If we had a problem, it was with the adult only restaurant 'Cal' on site. It was supposedly open until 10pm but they seemed only interested until 9:30 at which point the staff started refusing people entry. Another negative is the so called 'Al la Carte' restaurants. What you get here is considerably worse than the fare in the general restaurants.
The staff were generally very friendly & responsive. All in all it was a very enjoyable stay.
The beach was great, especially if you have young children, as the sea is so shallow.
If you fancy any trips, the Desert Safari was great fun & good value for money. Also, we booked a boat trip with snorkelling, even though we had never done this before, it was absolutely brilliant.
You can also snorkel of the end of the pier if you buy your own goggles etc from the shops outside the hotel. If you do this, don't forget to haggle as you will get what you want for 1/3 of the starting price
A quick word about our 'nemesis' the Russians. From our experience they were mostly families with young children. Yes, they are quite uncommunicative & insular, but the kids were well behaved & quite frankly, I've seen a lot worse from British families abroad.
The cruise was on the MS Serenade. It's a nice boat but seems very old & tired looking. The food wasn't as good as the Titanic but was palatable. We went out on trips every day, the downside of this, although it,s nobody's fault, is that we got a bit 'Templed' out after seeing so many. Our guide for all the trips was Youseff. He was very informative but, bless him, sometimes the heat just got to our group & we lost a bit of interest. As to tips, you give the guide £10 each to cover all the tips to drivers etc which doesn't seem excessive. At the end you get two envelopes, one for the guide & one for the ship staff, you are encouraged to again put £10 each but there is no pressure.
To summarise, we wouldn't return, but only because we have seen all that we wanted to, but we have no regrets.

"Amazing hotel, amazing holiday!"

We stayed at the titanic beach and spa from 10th - 18th May 2013 following a weeks cruise on the nile, and I have to say, Ive travelled to many countrys and stayed in many all inclusives but this hotel was the best I have ever seen or stayed in. It is very grand, very impressive deco, very, very clean and very friendly staff who will always go out of their way to help you in any way they can. They are there constantly... arranging your sunbeds, bringing you drinks from the beach bar, I found them to be very polite and helpful. We did give them tips here and there, and they really appreciated this and would go out of their way to please you.

The swim up pool bars in titanic and the palace are amazing ! There are many choices of pools, a great waterpark and even a wave pool. Our teenagers were spoilt for choice! The hotel is right on the beach, and the beach near aqua park, so everything quite central, although there is some walking involved. The beer and wine is acceptable...

There are many resturants to choose from which basically serve the same menu and there is an adults only place which we found was better quality. Overall the food was okay. Breakfasts fab! didnt eat in them lunchtime as always got something at pool bar or beach bar. Evening meals pretty good... They cook fresh meat outside, so you can collect this first then go into one of the main resturants.

Our rooms were great! Very spacious and very clean, fridge, which was topped up with water and soft drinks daily, safety deposit box, massive wardrobe and huge shower! Lovely comfy beds and good dressing table. Not much in the way of plug sockets, but we managed.

There is a nightclub for over 18's, bowling alley, pool tables, games room, lots of shops, chemist etc... Its more like a mini town than hotel... There wasn't much in the way of entertainment and what we did see wasn't very impressive ...e.g. Cobra show where snakes were clearly drugged... and belly dancer who was just okay.

You have to haggle for everything and make sure you stick to your price because you can basically pay what you want to if you stick to your guns... They don't want you to leave their shop until they've made a sale, even if this means giving in to what you can afford. They don't tend to haggle as much in the actual hotel though, some prices are set, but there are many shops just outside the hotel to the right and left.

We went on an amazing snorkelling trip which cost £22 per person through the aqua centre. This was a full day out on a boat where we visited four areas we could snorkel. Food and water was free... They did have beers, but these were £3.50. They made a dvd of the whole day, even filming us underwater while we were snorkelling amongst the amazing huge colourful fish!! We bought the dvd for £16.. and they took a lovely photo of my husband and I (titanic style) with our teenagers in the background in black and white.

We booked the free shuttle bus to Hurghada marina (about 11 of us), but the journey was terrifying and the driver nearly toppled us as he raced another bus... I did report this to the bus company on return to the hotel. I don't think they have an highway code at all.... and definitely no health and safety rules like the U.K... so be aware of this when booking any excursions.

Overall... we had an amazing time, and were sad to come home.. The hotel was amazing, the weather amazing and the people great. We met some great English peeps and tended to stick together as the hotel consists of 92% Russians who are down right ignorant, rude and greedy... Grabbing everything, then wasting it.

I would definately return to this hotel as we all had a great time!!! Hope this helps...
