Holidays to Valencia

Valencia is the third biggest city in Spain. The original Latin name of the city was Valentia meaning "Strength", "Vigor", the city being named after Emperor Valens. Valencia is the Spanish gateway to the Mediterranean. The streets of Valencia are filled with shops everything hand made arts and crafts to the latest fashion designs. Fans, lace work, Manises ceramics and clothes can be got in Valencia. Valencia's World Heritage Site is the old Silk Exchange. The Gothic hall is regarded as the city's most beautiful building and is now a tourist attraction. The crypt of the Prison of Saint Vicente the Martyr, under the Church of Saint Vicente which was an ancient Visigoth chapel, which became a prison for Valencia's patron saint is a must see. Football is a local passion here in Valencia. Levante or Malvarrosa Beach located north of the port of Valencia, with excellent facilities and water sports and should be visited. Valencia has a lively nightlife there are quiet wine bars and lively night clubs where you can dance away the darkness.
