We stayed here last year and loved it so decided to come again. This is our little haven away from it all, without the kids so it has to be perfect.
We were upgraded for free as returning customers so had an amazing suite overlooking the bay. The rooms are comfy, spacious and ours was spotlessly clean, maid came every day to clean and with fresh towels daily.
We were also given free spa passes, the spa is lovely and the treatments are something else. Not cheap but worth every penny Chrissy is possibly the best therapist ive ever seen, very spiritual and totally engaged in every treatment, she really is great at what she does, thanks for fixing me Chrissy.
Food is very good, of course they reuse food, but its done very well with leftover potatoes used for potato salad etc. The meat and fish is cooked fresh in front of you and there was a carvery every evening. There are salads, vegetables, pasta, meat, fish, everything you could want and all cooked beautifully.
Every aspect of the hotel is well maintained, its clean, the pool area is perfect with no fight for sunbeds, no loud music, just a small pool bar and the sound of the sea in front of you.

We had a trip to Tenerife in March 2011 and stayed at Arenas Del Mar, unfortunately after less than 24 hours I was admitted to hospital with pregnancy complications leaving my husband and 15 month old son alone in the hotel. The hotel were fabulous - nothing was too much trouble - they even cooked special meals for me for my husband to bring to the hospital for me. I only got 1 night in the hotel before we went home but it was gorgeous - immaculately clean and facilities lovely. Food was fabulous. They had a small play area for toddlers - I do have to admit however that older children probably would be a bit bored. Our room was brilliant - separate lounge and bed room area - great for travelling with a toddler. They went out of their way for him, making sure that he had warmed milk etc. Highly recommended

Stayed 16th- 23rd December 2011. I was a little worried about staying at this hotel after reading some reviews on here. But when we arrived we were pleasantly suprised! Hotel was lovely, very clean, staff were nice & very helpful, food was LOVELY! Entertainment was ok, Jose who is incharge of the entertainment made it very funny & tried very hard to get people involved. Weather was quite windy, but you can find sheltered areas around the hotel. I would definatly go back!

Just returned from a four night stay at this hotel.I had read mixed reviews so was a little apprehensive. It is located about 15 mins from the airport (12 Euro taxi ride). Great location, right on the waters edge. To be honest, the hotel does not look particularly impressive from the outside, but is absolutely fine on the inside. It is spotlessly clean and the rooms are spacious and include a large balcony. I would definitely recommend paying the extra for a sea view.
It wasn't particularly busy due to the time of year so there was no problem getting sun beds at the pool, and there was no queueing in the dining room or at the bar. We opted for all inclusive which turned out to be excellent value. The food was actually very good, the usual buffet type spread, a good selection of salads and various types of roast meat and fish.

If you want a chilled out, quite holiday, away from the crowd, this is the place to go, ignore the negative reviews, as for the "more like a 3 star" reviewer try a 3 star & see the difference, My wife, daughter (15) & I went from the 13 - 20 December 2011, for a chill out week & that is exactly what we got, the food is excellent, Jose the entertainment guy is top, left us alone during the day & was happy to see us at night, the bar staff were attentive & the room was good, from landing to stepping into our room was 30 minutes, FANTASTIC!!!!! (if flying with Thompson take a sandwich the hot food is really disgusting & costs a fortune). We hired a car from reception for £69 all in with CDW & nil exs for 2 days & went up Mnt Teide one day, worth a look & Los Christianos the second day (what a dump!?!) If you want a lively holiday avoid this place, if you want to read a book & drink a beer & chill down this is the place, by the way the Island is very windy, did not bother us kept us cool in the sun. Salt pool fantastic my daughter has sensitive skin but due to salt no problems.
